It works nice on my phone but there is no iPad version, only the iPhone version. The system itself is great and I’m happy with the cameras and other hardware so far but the Lorex Home app is disappointing. Just bought a new Lorex system at Costco because I had a prior Lorex system at my last house and liked it. Let us know if you need help with anything. Hey, lillmish, thanks for the awesome review! We're happy to hear we hit the mark for you, and we'll do our best to keep it up.

I have checked that all firmware is up to date and yet nothing is working. I have rebooted the router like the Lorex troubleshooting states and I have even deleted the app and reinstalled it. My main computer is working fine and is recording like it is supposed to. I tested the Wi-Fi connectivity through the app and it says it is good. I can no longer see the live view on the app or get notifications or look at the timeline history. My app used to work great but all of a sudden yesterday it stopped.

We can now see our live views on the app and it seems to be working correctly although we still have sporadic issues with getting the “oops, something went wrong” message. Ffmpeg put out a lot of red text during the process which I'm guessing isn't a good sign and it did combine the files but only the first video file was viewable in Lorex Player 11.Our issue was fixed after we rebooted our main computer system back to the factory settings and set everything up from scratch again. 264 files for the day in to one big file. So, it will take almost 4 days to get one day of video converted to something playable by other programs. However, it took 3 hours to transcode a single 17 min video.

It somehow added two minutes to the runtime of the video but other than that it looks OK. I was able to transcode one of the video files with Handbrake in to m4v. The only thing I can find that will open and play them is Lorex Player 11 which doesn't support event detection.

264, and VLC Media Player and Sony Vegas Pro won't open them. Then I find they are in H.264 format, with file name extension. I really don't want to deal with 31 separate files for 1 day but whatever. So I start downloading the video and the camera box offers 31 files, each about 17 min long, for the work hours when we are there.

A guy I know has Sony Vegas Pro and offered to help with that though I'm sure there is software that would cost less that could do the same thing. I thought maybe I could run the video through some other software that supports detecting events. After messing with it for a while I gave up and tried downloading the video. It just pops up a red box that says "No Find CH3". So I'm in IE, I select and check the boxes of the user interface for it to show me events on channel 3. I set the camera to monitor for events but it seems that pulling up those events isn't working in the user interface.

Even though Lorex's download page for the software says it is compatible with the LH0 series boxes the software really doesn't entirely work with the box. Due to the age of the cameras I have to use Internet Explorer to log in to the NVR. At work we have had some theft issues and have an older Lorex NVR box, series number that starts with LH03.
