Not many people would go to that much trouble for a fan who wasn't even in attendance, but Drake Bell did. I told him about the time I was supposed to go see him on my birthday over a decade ago, but got sick right before and had to have surgery and wasn't allowed to go, so my friend called me from the show and handed the phone to Drake Bell and he talked to me for like half an hour after the show, resting the flip phone (yes, that long ago!) on his shoulder as he still interacted with fans at the show or passed it around to some of his Drake and Josh co-stars at the time so they could talk to me too. I have been listening to "Honest" and "Fuego Lento" nonstop since then and wearing my Drake Bell shirt. His guitar playing is awesome and I love his voice. It's been a tough year for me so when he did "Makes Me Happy" it really did make me happy! I got him to sign my poster and he stayed after the show to meet and greet and talk to the fans and I got a selfie with him <3. I went on a whim because it was Friday and I didn't have anything to do and he was only 5 miles away from my house, when before I've gone 45 miles into Hollywood to see him.

Later that year Drake Bell acted in the movie “Yours Mine and Ours” and performed the song “Bring Em Out” with the guitar pop act Hawk Nelson for the soundtrack. It was met with strong critical acclaim and featured the hit song “Found Away”, which has since been covered by Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies.
